Depending on travel times, the participants of the EU TalentOn arrive to Leiden from their home countries before 18:00 on Wednesday September 14.
Arrive between 11:00 and 17:00? Then go to VVV on Stationsweg 26 to pick up your badge and goodybag.
Arrive after 17:00? Then check in to your hotel first and then come to Pesthuis for dinner.
18:00 - 18:30 - Walk-in at Pesthuis (and pick up your bicycle!)

During this time you can pick up your own bicycle at Pesthuis. Cycling is thé mode of transportation in the Netherlands and we invite you to try it. Please note that the bicycles need to be handed in at set times - before Sunday September 18 at 11:00.
Get to know the city of Leiden with a Silent Disco Tour! The tour starts from Central Station.
All participants and buddies are invited for breakfast at this historical windmill. Cycle from your hotel towards Molen de Valk and enjoy breakfast. Only a 100 meters from PLNT, houses Pronck Brewery. A Leiden-based with its own kettles, that brews its very own quirky beers in the former switch house of the power plant at Leiden Energy Park. Participants are invited to join the social drinks at this special location and unwind from the first full EU TalentOn day

The representative per team prepares for the Public Pitches & Prizes at Pesthuis. From 19:00 onwards, the public enters Pesthuis for drinks.
One participant per team is invited to climb the stage in Pesthuis and give a 1-minute pitch. Test your preliminary ideas and gather feedback from the public in Leiden. Between 17:00 and 18:00, all invitees for the Award Ceremony of EU TalentOn are welcome to join the reception.
After the reception of the award ceremony, we will head to the Hooglandse Kerk for the farewell dinner. This is where all EUCYS & EU TalentOn participants get together for festive meal only Harry Potter and his friends could dream off. At the same time, the city celebrates the ArtScienceWeek. This is an annual 7-day celebration of science, art and life. A perfect reason to connect science, art and local cuisine. All participants are invited to join this Big Tabel Dinner Show with long, wide theatre tables. These large wooden tables serve as both table and stage. The waiters will spread the special dishes out over the tables, various acts will leave everyone at the table in amazement and the host provides interaction by having everyone over these special tables interact with each other. All this is completed with the right table decorations, catering and lighting. Ofcourse, all catering is no meat.
After dinner we walk in a parade to the farewell party: The night of discoveries. The Night of Discoveries is an annual event in Leiden, focusing on science and culture. Mini-lecture by Parya Pasha (Marmoris) "Supporting life below water from space" Marmoris is an early stage start-up based in the Netherlands. We use GIS, Remote Sensing and Artificial intelligence (GIS-RS-AI) to help stakeholders involved in coastal ecosystem conservation make data-driven decisions to increase the effectiveness of their work and lower the costs. In particular we believe that these technologies could be highly valuable to scaling up coral conservation and restoration efforts.
